Whispers Beneath the Rain Tent
The Storm That Came with the Gala
Lightning forked across the monsoon sky as the Seghal estate’s annual charity gala teetered between opulence and chaos. Crystal chandeliers swayed in the grand ballroom, their reflections fracturing on the polished marble. Outside, torrential rain lashed the gardens, turning the rose petal walkways to rivers of crimson. Guests clustered under the marquee’s edges, silk sarees and tuxedos plastered by wind-driven sheets of water. The cousins scrambled to replace soaked tablecloths with plastic tarps while chandeliers dimmed. Yet beneath the thunder, the three newlyweds—Meher and Aarav, Zoya and Vivaan, Inaya and Reyansh—stepped into the tempest with forced smiles, their alliances tested by nature’s fury.
